Indiana Senate sends property tax bill to Gov. Braun
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WANE) -- Early Tuesday morning, the Indiana Senate concurred with changes the House made to Senate Bill 1, sending the property tax legislation to Gov. Mike Braun. The vote was 27 to 22.The House passed its version last week, by a vote of 65 to 29. Republicans said it will save Hoosier homeowners $1.4 billion in property taxes over the next three years. Roughly two-thirds will pay less in property taxes in 2026 than they would in 2025, with an average household saving $300.De
