Emergency crews pull man out of pit in west Allen County construction site

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WANE) - Emergency crews pulled a man out of a pit Friday at a construction site just outside of Fort Wayne.Police, firefighters and EMS workers swarmed Alessandria Drive in the Verona Lakes subdivision starting around 11:30 a.m.A helicopter responded around noon, and a reporter saw officials lowering air tanks and valves into a hole in the ground. About 40 minutes later, someone was pulled out. The extent of his injuries is unclear.
He was taken by helicopter to a hospital.Fi
