Catholic Health System to pay $3.3M over alleged Medicare violations

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Catholic Health System, Inc. will pay nearly $3.3 million to resolve allegations that the non-profit healthcare system knowingly submitted or caused to be submitted false claims to the Medicare program, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.The settlement comes after allegations of claims that violated the Physician Self-Referral Law, known as the Stark Law.
