Amherst woman dead after crash involving tractor trailer in Alden

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- An 80-year-old Amherst woman is dead after a car crash involving an SUV and a tractor trailer occurred in Alden Friday afternoon, the Erie County Sheriff's Office said.
Officials said the vehicles collided at the intersection of Walden Avenue and Genesee Street around 4:15 p.m. Carol Privitera, of Amherst, was driving eastbound on Genesee Street while a tractor trailer was traveling westbound.
