Travis County rolls out new wildfire readiness initiative

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) - Travis County fire officials said they would take a new, proactive approach to reducing wildfires.The new initiative gives officials tools to reduce the risk of fires in eastern Travis County through a partnership with Lake Travis Fire Rescue and the Fire Marshal's Office.During a press conference Wednesday, members of Emergency Districts No. 2, 11 and 12 will join county and city officials to lay out details of their plan.
