Off-duty Georgetown firefighter killed in motorcycle crash

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A firefighter with the Georgetown Fire Department died Friday morning after a crash on US-29, west of Wolf Ranch Parkway, according to a press release from the city of Georgetown.The crash occurred around 9 a.m. The firefighter was riding a motorcycle home at the time and had worn a helmet, the city said.Georgetown police officers and other emergency responders arrived at the scene around 9:13 a.m. An ambulance took the firefighter to Ascension Seton Williamson Hospita
