Kyle man arrested, charged with murder in Austin fentanyl-related death investigation

HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A Kyle man was arrested and charged with murder Tuesday following an investigation into a fentanyl-related death that occurred in December 2024.According to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Alan Steve Rodriguez was charged in connection with the death of a 50-year-old man found at an apartment complex in Austin.HCSO said deputies responded to a call in the 700 block of Trinity Hills Drive on Dec. 31 and found the 50-year-old man unresponsive.
