A look back at the devastating Bastrop County Complex Fire 15 years later

The Bastrop County Complex Fire started on September 4, 2011. It wound up burning for 55 days, during which it spread more than 32,000 acres, destroyed over 1,600 homes, and killed two people, according to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
