Four Gainesville football players cleared for playoff game after on-field brawl, 35 others suspended

Four Gainesville High School football players will be allowed to play in the team's upcoming Class 5A quarterfinal matchup against Langston Hughes, after the Georgia High School Association overturned their suspensions following last week's on-field brawl.The GHSA Board of Trustees met virtually on Tuesday to review Executive Director Tim Scott's decision after Gainesville self-reported that 39 players left the sideline and entered the field during a fight in the third quarter of Friday's playof
