Noteworthy: Tran, an outside hitter, had 32 kills and eight blocks for the Vaqueros as they had wins in the first two rounds of the CIF-SS Division 5 playoffs. Rancho Alamitos beat Flintridge Preps 3-2 in the first round and beat Saugus 3-2 in the second round. The Vaqueros (20-9) play at Vista Murrieta (18-19) in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
