Man dies after crashing SUV into swimming pool in Brea

A man died Friday afternoon, April 18, after driving an SUV through a garage and into a backyard swimming pool in Brea, police said.
Around 1 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of South Mulberry Avenue and found the vehicle partially submerged in a pool with a man still in the driver’s seat, according to Brea Police Lt. Phil Rodriguez.
Several officers jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue the man. Firefighters arrived shortly after and were able to pull him from the vehicle
