Hot-hitting Rosary advances to face Fullerton in Carew Classic semifinals

ANAHEIM — The Michelle Carew Classic has given the Rosary softball team an opportunity to showcase its offense.
Rosary collected 11 hits, including a three-run homerun from K’lene Gutierrez that broke the game open in the sixth, for an 8-1 victory over Los Alamitos in the quarterfinals Friday at Peralta Park.
The Royals (14-2-1) duplicated their run total from their 8-5 victory over Eastvale Roosevelt in a second-round contest Thursday.
