Fryer: What we’re likely to see in the CIF-SS football playoff pairings

The CIF Southern Section football playoff brackets will be released Sunday morning.
The first thing to know is that teams are placed into one the Southern Section’s 14 playoff divisions according to how the teams are ranked by HSratings.com.
Much of the older rules for playoff participation remain – like guaranteed playoff berths for finishing among the top two teams in four-team leagues, or the top three in five- and six-team leagues. Some at-large berths for non-automatic qualifier
