Baseball roundup: Servite edges JSerra; Cypress routs La Habra
Toby Kwon and Shane Wendler were dominant on the mound in Servite’s 2-1 win over JSerra in a Trinity League opener Tuesday at JSerra High.
Kwon allowed one run on four hits in five innings of work with six strikeouts to earn the win. Wendler pitched two scoreless innings to earn the save.
Servite (10-3, 1-0) did its offensive damage in the sixth inning. With two outs, USC signee Hayden Woodson singled and Miles Scott hit a two-run home run. Woodson went 2 for 3 with a triple.
