2 small earthquakes strike near Idyllwild on Thanksgiving

Two earthquakes shook near Idyllwild in Riverside County’s San Jacinto Mountains on Thursday evening, Nov. 27.
The first earthquake hit around 5:36 p.m. with a magnitude 3.8, according to the Southern California Earthquake Data Center. A second one was felt seconds later with a magnitude of 3.5.
Both earthquakes struck about 6 miles southwest of Idyllwild.
There were no immediate reports of damage tied to the quakes. Damage usually doesn’t happen with quakes at or below magnitude 4.0
