NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Above-normal morning temperatures are present with still very clear skies, mostly calm winds, and dry air, as the northwestern corner of the region is starting off around or just below the freezing mark with very few areas in the Northern Mountains nearing the high teens, while many areas to the southeast are starting off in the 50s with a somewhat-pesky westerly wind accelerating down the east slopes of the Central Mountains, creating that even warmer start for some.Ve
