Santa Fe man caught stealing vehicle by car owner

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – Santa Fe police arrested a man early this morning, suspected of armed burglary. Investigators say that 24-year-old Isaac Barela was caught by the vehicle owner while trying to steal their car. SFPD DWI checkpoints throughout MayAccording to police, multiple residents held Barela down until authorities arrived. He is facing charges for aggravated burglary, assault, resisting arrest, and more.
