San Juan County Fire & Rescue puts a pause on burn permits amid drought

SAN JUAN COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — San Juan County Fire & Rescue will not issue burn permits until further notice, the organization announced on Wednesday. Along with that, opening burn is currently prohibited in Bloomfield, Kirtland, and unincorporated San Juan County. The decision comes as a red flag warning was posted by the National Weather Service.Story continues below
