Southern Water launches £70m Andover pipeline race

Southern Water has fired the starting gun on bidding for its £70m flagship Andover Link Main pipeline project.
The 25km underground pipeline will run between Winchester and Andover, backed by new and upgraded booster stations to deliver a bi-directional transfer of up to 15Ml/d by March 2030.
The project is a direct response to Environment Agency licence changes restricting abstraction from the Rivers Test and Itchen, both designated as rare chalk stream habitats of international importanc
