National Timber Group collapses with over 560 jobs axed

The country’s biggest independent timber supplier, National Timber Group, has collapsed into administration with 561 jobs axed immediately.
Administrators from Alvarez & Marsal have closed 13 branches across England and Scotland and mothballed several production facilities as they move to stabilise the business.
Remaining depots continue to trade while the team races to find a buyer for he £300m turnover business.
