Kier starts first all-electric prison houseblock job in Kent

The Ministry of Justice has given Kier the go-ahead to build the next-generation fully electric T60 prison houseblocks as part of the expansion of HMP Elmley on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent
The project will provide 247 extra prison places, as well as providing fully electric ancillary buildings, including a new prisoner workshop. There will also be a refurbishment and extension to the existing kitchen facilities.
