Brandon Hire Station to close 40 branches

Equipment rental specialist Vp plc is closing 40 Brandon Hire Station branches with the loss of 400 jobs.
The move is a pivot away from the general retail and DIY construction market as Vp focuses on its bigger contractor customers and larger projects through its specialised divisions like Groundforce and TPA.
Brandon Hire Station will now only support Vp’s strategic and B2B customers and will no longer serve the consumer market.The move comes as Vp posted interim results for the six month
