America’s top beverage companies including Coca-Cola and Pepsi are teaming up in an initiative aimed at helping consumers get important health information in real-time. On billions of packaged beverages sold in the United States, QR codes will direct people to a website where they can see the ingredients in a drink, their functions and how food safety regulators in the U.S. and globally view that ingredient.
