McInnis Gets Nearly $10K For Black Folk Art Doll

AMESBURY, MASS. — John McInnis sold the Pat Hatch collection of more than 400 cloth dolls in a single-owner sale on April 27, following two days of his Country Estates auction. One of the top lots of the doll sale was an 18-inch Black boy doll, which earned $9,600 (pictured). A pair of 15-inch Black sister dolls would account for the second highest price — $8,680 — of the antiques portion of the sale.
