Belgian Government Officially Approves Live Nation’s Pukkelpop Acquisition — With Strict ‘Operational Independence’ Requirements

Following a nearly year-long review, the Belgian government has approved Live Nation’s deal for Pukkelpop – albeit while requiring the promoter to preserve “the festival’s independence for at least ten years.”
The Belgian Competition Authority (BCA), having kicked off an investigation back in November 2025, just recently made its decision official. At the top level, “Live Nation will retain formal ownership” of Pukke
