France's household goods consumption falls 0.5% in August

France household goods consumption fell 0.5 per cent month on month in August 2026, after a revised 0.4 per cent rise in July.Textile-clothing spending still increased 0.3 per cent, though slower than July’s 0.6 per cent gain.Energy weakness drove the decline, while engineered goods and durable goods continued to rise.
