EU eases import duties on Armenian goods for 2 years

EU ministers have adopted temporary trade-liberalisation measures covering around 80 per cent of Armenian exports to the EU for two years.
The move is meant to support Armenia after recent Russian trade restrictions and strengthen Armenia-EU trade flows.
Importers get lower duties across a broad product range, including certain agricultural goods.
Safeguards remain if imports hurt EU producers.
