University Of Florida Names Santa Ono, Brother Of Notable Swim Researcher, New President

The University of Florida has identified its next president, and the hire has swimming ties on a couple of fronts.
On Sunday, Florida announced that Santa J. Ono had been unanimously recommended as the sole finalist to serve as the university’s 14th president.
Ono will head to Gainesville after serving the same role at the University of Michigan since July 2022. He is expected to assume his new role this summer and will replace Ben Sasse, who stepped down as pre
