'Acid rain' car park in Weston-super-Mare loses £269k in a year

A 'ghost town' car park in the middle of Weston-super-Mare is losing a council £250,000 a year. Despite owning the freehold for the land on which Carlton Street Car Park is built, North Somerset Council is paying over £500k a year to rent it back from the owners of the 200-year lease.
