Tower of London to start letting people attend its private “opening ceremony”

The Tower of London is rich in ceremonies and traditions, and one which is not usually seen by the public now can be.It’s the ceremonial opening of the Tower each morning, and takes place very early, long before the tourists arrive. Each morning, a Yeoman Warder is joined by an escort of soldiers to unlock the gates of the Middle Tower, also known as the Byward Tower.
