Hackney Museum to close later this year for £2.2 million revamp

Hackney’s local museum is to get a £2.2 million redevelopment after it secured a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.The new permanent exhibition at the museum, replacing the current display, which was created in 2002, will highlight how 300,000 years of migration and settlement have shaped the local area.
