Sir Tony Blair wants to run Gaza once the war between Israel and Hamas is over – runs a surreal headline which evidently has the backing of the White House. He has the support of several powerful figures, including Jared Kushner, and Steve Witkoff, the US president’s special envoy. He would head an interim government in Gaza with a UN mandate as the “supreme political and legal authority” for five years, on the proviso that power eventually would be handed over to the Pal
