Bill seeks to exempt OFWs from mandatory PhilHealth premium payments

Dubai: Three legislators have filed a measure in the Philippine House of Representatives seeking to exempt Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from mandatory premium payments to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), citing 'redundant and excessive statutory burdens.' House Bill 6355, filed by Liberal Party lawmakers Representatives Leila de Lima (Mamamayang Liberal Party-list), Arlene Bag-ao (Lone District, Dinagat Islands), and Cielo Krisel Lagman (1st District, Albay), propose
