Fans taken aback as EastEnders unexpectedly changes its theme tune

Last night’s special episode featured a change to the theme tune(Picture: BBC/Jack Barnes/Kieron McCarron)EastEnders fans were left perplexed after its iconic theme tune was replaced during last night’s episode.
Doof doof…We’ve been watching the BBC One soap for nearly forty years, so it should be no surprise that the title music was found to be the most recognisable piece of music in the UK in a 2008 poll by PRS for Music.
It even beat the National Anthem!
