Cumberland council moves forward with data centre moratorium

The Municipality of Cumberland is not accepting any applications for data centres that support artificial intelligence while regulations are drafted. On Tuesday, a bylaw that could start a six-month moratorium on development permit applications for data centres unanimously passed first reading by council.
