Plant-Based Meat Labels Make Food Seem Less Masculine, Study Finds

Source: PsyPostCompared with meat from animals, plant-based meat alternatives are better for the environment and public health, but a new study finds that simply labeling a dish as a plant-based meat alternative leads meat-eaters to view it as less masculine and appealing. Moreover, resistance to plant-based alternatives tends to be strongest among people who hold hostile sexist beliefs. The study was published in Social Psychological and Personality Science.
