Somali referee denied entry to US

Somali referee Omar Abdulkadir Artan has been refused entry to the US where he is due to officiate at the World Cup finals.
Award-winning Somali referee Omar Artan, set to be the first from his country to officiate at the World Cup finals, was denied entry to the United States, a sports ministry official told AFP on Monday.
It was not immediately clear why Artan was barred from entering the US at Miami International Airport, but Somalia is one of several countries on a travel ban list introduced
