Florentino Pérez wins Real Madrid election with commanding majority

Florentino Pérez has been re-elected president of Real Madrid after securing a commanding victory in the club’s presidential election, extending his long-standing leadership of the Spanish giants.
The club’s Electoral Board announced on Saturday that Pérez’s candidature won 21,741 votes, representing 65 per cent of the total ballots cast, while challenger Enrique Riquelme received 11,814 votes, accounting for 35 per cent.
