Kolkata crawls due to massive protests by jobless teachers, Jamiat-e-Ulama

Kolkata's city center experienced severe traffic congestion on Thursday morning due to two simultaneous protests. A rally by the West Bengal State Jamiat-e-Ulama at Ramlila Maidan and a teachers' protest from Sealdah to Esplanade caused significant disruptions. The congestion affected students, commuters, and even those trying to reach Sealdah station, with traffic not returning to normal until 3 pm.
