Sanya Malhotra remained unfazed by the criticism of her film Mrs. from various men's groups, including the Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF), who accused it of promoting a one-sided feminist narrative. She mentioned that the negative reactions arose from the film's accurate portrayal of real-life situations.  During a session at CNN-News18 SheShakti 2025, Sanya mentioned that the film had received criticism from men's rights organizations, who alleged it portrayed "toxic feminism."
