Black upsets Einarson in women's semi at Canadian curling trials, Dunstone wins men's semi

Local favourite Christina Black has a berth in the women's best-of-three final of the Canadian curling trials in Halifax after defeating Manitoba's Kerri Einarson 6-3 on Thursday. Matt Dunstone's Winnipeg-based side posted a 9-5 win over Mike McEwen's Saskatoon team in the men's semifinal later in the day.
