70% of Wilmot farmland purchased for future industrial site, region says

In March 2024, the Region of Waterloo approached some landowners in Wilmot Township with offers to buy their land for future industrial development. Now, after a full year of public opinions and debate, the region says they have purchased 70 per cent of the land they want.
