First Nation in northern Ontario set to open Indigenous evacuation shelter this spring

Missanabie Cree First Nation says it’s on track to open an Indigenous evacuation centre on its traditional territory in northern Ontario this spring. With 360 rooms and capacity for 600 people, the centre will offer a familiar space for evacuees that also recognizes their culture.
