Lloydminster RCMP seize $7.65-million illegal tobacco shipment

Lloydminster RCMP have dealt a $7.65 million blow to the illegal tobacco trade after seizing 8.8 million unstamped cigarettes during a traffic stop last Tuesday. The semi-truck, stopped on 44 Street, was found to be carrying the contraband when the driver could not provide proper documentation for the load. Police obtained a search warrant, leading to the seizure of the truck, trailer, and all its contents. Read More
