Sault woman gets jail for downtown robbery

A woman punched and stomped on the foot of a security guard when she took a pen from a downtown business in the late winter. Tammy Powley pleaded guilty to the March 30 robbery on Bay Street in addition to assaulting police officers in separate incidents, not reporting to the bail supervision program at John Howard Society and missing a court date.She kicked an officer when an unwanted person was reported at a Dennis Street address on May 13.
