Prince Township seeks $210K loan to replace obsolete fire gear

Prince Township will apply for a loan of $210,000 from the Ontario Infrastructure and Land Corporation to purchase essential safety equipment for its volunteer firefighters.  Fire Chief Steve Hemsworth told council that the self-contained breathing apparatus firefighters rely on when entering burning structures is over 30 years old and that replacement parts are no longer available.  Hemsworth listed several costly items the fire department needs, including nine rechargeable SCBA air
