Driver charged at RIDE check east of Sault

A Bruce Mines resident was charged at a RIDE check east of Sault Ste. Marie.He was stopped on Friday evening on Highway 638 in Plummer Additional Township, Ontario Provincial Police say. Alan Miller, 61, was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and having a blood/alcohol level of more than 80 milligrams.His court date is June 5 in Elliot Lake.The accused’s vehicle was impounded.
