Conservative Hugh Stevenson concedes in Sault Ste. Marie—Algoma

Conservative candidate Hugh Stevenson has formally conceded in the race for the newly formed Sault Ste. Marie—Algoma riding, after coming just under 1,500 votes behind Liberal incumbent Terry Sheehan. Sheehan captured 47.3 per cent of votes (29,974) while Stevenson received 44.9 per cent (28,472).
