Charges Laid - Assault Police Officer - 1500 Block 20th St W

A man and woman have been charged after assaulting two police officers yesterday evening. At approximately 7:30 p.m., August 25, 2026, patrol officers responded to the 1500 block of 20th Street West to arrest a man in connection to an assault from earlier in August. When police arrived, the suspect physically resisted by punching one officer and encouraged a female bystander to help him when she kicked another officer. Officers deployed a conducted energy weapon and took the man into c
