Arrest - Assault P.O. - Spadina Crescent East and 20th Street East

One man was arrested following an assault on a police officer yesterday evening.At around 7:30 p.m. on July 22, 2026, a member of the Bike Unit patrolling in the downtown area observed a man believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant interfering with a nearby business. Upon stopping and speaking with the man, he immediately became verbally and physically confrontational towards police; following a brief struggle, additional officers arrived on scene and the man was taken into custody.As
